And perhaps precisely because it is not a bullwhip – which varies in length from 1.80 to 3.60 metres – it sits comfortably in the hand and is a whip that even a beginner Dom can handle well. Never start hitting your sub straight away with a new whip, though! Get to know the whip, learn to judge the distance properly and practise with it first on an old bathrobe or something similar. A single tail can hit nastily hard and will certainly leave its traces on your sub. My sub (not a masochist) was already facing the session with trembling knees. He knows the crack of the whip, and every single tail should be taken seriously.

This nasty little rascal from Bettie Page is no exception. The whip leaves its traces on your skin, so bear that in mind when you use it. If your sub does not want any marks, feel free to leave the whip in your bag or hanging on the rack. Of course, how hard you hit is a determining factor here. With this whip you can also hit very softly, and that naturally leaves no marks.

In practice

The whip sits nicely in your hand and, thanks to its length, is easy to handle. The sound when you hit your sub's skin precisely with that little tongue is beautiful. It looks as if sparks are flying off it. At the play party where I tried the whip for the first time, it was also well received by other Mistresses. Everyone who tried the whip for a moment was enthusiastic about it. My sub a little less so… but perhaps he has now learned that he had better start learning to listen.

The whip is beautifully braided and has a sturdy handle (12.7 cm). The nasty little tongue at the end of the whip does a great job, and after some practice you can place it exactly where you want it. You will notice that the more often you hit with this whip, the better it will go. These whips are generally a bit stiff at first, but the leather becomes a little more supple the more you use it.

For those looking for a good single tail to start with, I think this whip is absolutely recommended, but the more experienced Dom will also be happy with this whip.
