In my opinion you can never have 'enough' whips; after all, for a good whipping session you need several types of whip anyway. A good warm-up whip, for example. This is just such a warm-up whip, and it's gorgeous too.

Good leather warm-up whip

With this whip you can start a delicious whipping scene. You can't really hit very hard with it, but for a warm-up whip that isn't necessary at all. Of course you can vary the intensity and speed, but there's actually not much you can do 'wrong' with it. That makes this whip perfectly suited to the beginner whipper. But it can also be a lovely addition for the experienced whipper. It looks beautiful and it feels very pleasant when it strikes.

Personally, I have a sub who squeaks rather quickly, and who starts whimpering at the mere sight of a whip. I don't really care much for his squeaking, but still. He could take this whip perfectly well, though, and he was more than grateful for my purchase. Even when I started hitting harder with the whip, I didn't hear any whining or groaning yet. Perfect, then, for preparing his backside for the rougher work. Because 'only nice' is so limited too.

Building up your play

The whip invites you to bring variation to the build-up of your play. Of course you can start by letting the tails tickle deliciously over his skin. Letting the tails find their own way, nice and loose. Then you can introduce different variations in the striking, for example so that only the ends of the tails just touch the skin, or so that the full tails land fully on the skin. Perhaps the occasional teasing stroke between his spread legs… It can't do much harm, because the material is very soft and therefore doesn't land rock hard. That makes this whip very pleasant. The whip doesn't leave any welts either.

In practice

I was pleasantly surprised when I took the whip out of its packaging. It is very beautifully made. Especially for this price, I hadn't expected such quality straight away. The whip has a sturdy handle and 12 braided tails. It is made of soft red/black suede leather, which feels really lovely.

The whip is packed in a neat cardboard box and comes out undamaged. That's not always the case; sometimes you see kinks in the whip from the start, which I think is a real shame. That isn't the case with this whip. It comes out of its packaging beautifully and is ready for use straight away. So you don't need to break it in first. It is always advisable to practise with a new whip before using it on your sub, though. Just to get a bit of a feel for what the whip does and can do.

I actually didn't know the Zado brand yet, but I'm now immediately curious about their other products.
