“Mystim Pure Vibes control unit” was written for BDSMforyou.nl by Mistress Moriah.

This device made me happy straight away. I already had an electro box – one of those big ones with far too many knobs, an awkward cable and too bulky to take anywhere. I also had a violet wand, a fun device in itself, handier than the box, but with its glass attachments it's too fragile to take anywhere. The Mystim Pure Vibes, however, is perfect to take along to kinky play parties and events.

But of course it also works more than well at home on the sofa.
The little device comes in a neutral, black, practical case. Not too big, so it fits nicely in a whip bag (included). The device itself is handy, and what made me especially happy was the simple operation. No superfluous bells and whistles, but functional buttons that anyone can understand. Even without reading the instructions.

Electro

If you have no experience with electro yet, this is a great device to start with. It can give anything from relaxing, pleasurable sensations to unbearable pain. So you decide that entirely yourself. Apart from your sub's pain threshold, it is advisable not to turn the knobs all the way up straight away. Build up the intensity slowly and you will see from your sub how he responds. A little more pulse or just a touch harder, you have everything in your hands.

The unit runs on a 9V battery, which is also supplied in the case. So you can get started straight after receiving it. Besides the battery, the case contains: the unit, two leads, a manual and four self-adhesive electrodes. More than enough to start with and to discover together how much fun playing with electro can be.

You can see in everything that a lot of attention has gone into this device. Everything looks beautiful and well finished.

In practice

The unit is clear and almost self-explanatory. Still, always read the instructions before use, especially if you have no experience yet. It is also advisable for the beginner electro user to read up thoroughly first on using electro on your sub. You can't just randomly stick electrodes on someone and assume it will all go well. For example, if your sub has a pacemaker, you had better not play with electro.

However, if you get started well prepared, you can have a lot of fun with this device. It is small, handy and does exactly what you may expect of it. Stored in a nicely finished case.

The unit comes with four self-adhesive electrodes. Should they stop sticking at some point, they can be ordered separately. Price for four electrodes: 9.95 euros (price indication 2016).
