By now I already have quite a few different leather corsets, but I also wear them very regularly. So every now and then one wears out. Time for a new corset! My eye was caught by this gorgeous leather corset, especially the lines, which I thought looked really beautiful. The corset is available in several sizes: S, M, L, XL and XXL, so there is a suitable size for everyone. I chose the XXL myself, mainly because the fit description said 'very snug'.

As soon as it arrived I put the corset on, and to my delight it fitted wonderfully. At the back it could even be laced up almost completely, so it can definitely be called 'roomy'. Perhaps I could even have gone one size smaller, because around my breasts it is actually just a little too loose. In itself I don't see that as a problem, because I also like wearing this corset over a nice white blouse, so I can wear it 'casually' too, and there is plenty of room for that. Personally I think the description 'very snug' is not too bad. After all, it doesn't matter at all if the back stands open a little; actually, I think that looks rather nice as well.

To lace the corset up properly you do need someone else's help, but that really goes for every corset. The front is easy to close with a zip. I personally find that pleasant. I have several corsets that you have to fasten at the front with metal hooks, and over time you notice those hooks start to bend a little, which makes putting the corset on a bit more difficult each time. With a zip you have no trouble with that at all.

At the bottom of the corset there are four suspenders, which are detachable. So you can use them, but you don't have to. If you don't need them, you can simply take them off.

In practice

The leather corset is delivered in plastic packaging. In the packaging you will also find instructions on how to lace the cords at the back. That is handy should you take the laces out, for example to clean the corset. However, the corset is delivered with the laces already in. Which is very nice.

You lace a corset towards the middle, that is, 'from top to bottom towards the middle' and 'from bottom to top, again towards the middle'. This creates two long loops in the middle, which you can finally tie together once the corset fits properly.

According to the description, the corset can be cleaned perfectly well by hand washing.
