“Jay, a Mistress's Quest“ was written for BDSMforyou.nl by Mistress Moriah.

It has been many years since I got to know Jay. A few years after we met, the e-book appeared, containing my first steps in this wonderful world. Along the way, I would find myself again and learn to lovingly embrace qualities I had cursed and hidden away for years, and to accept myself as a whole. Both the warm, empathetic, loving and social side (which has always been allowed to be there), and the sadistic and dominant side (which I hid away for years). My balance. And it is my balance that runs through the book like a red thread.

In this book, the fragile, at times even uncertain story alternates with raw BDSM fantasies, but there are many more contradictions to be found in the book. With this, I try to emphasise that in BDSM everything revolves around balance, that nothing is what it seems, and that this can differ not only from person to person, but also from day to day or moment to moment. That is exactly what makes it so intense and intriguing.

For me, BDSM is not only love and a reunion with myself as a whole, it also has the power to let you and the other transcend yourselves. To bring out the best in yourself and in the other. It has the tools to let your mind come to rest and bring you back to your own balance. To outsiders, various elements of play may seem strange, but the unknown is unloved. True players know the game and, above all, the reward.

I am super happy that the story is now also available in hardcover, because in this digital world, where we all spend far too much time (usually pointlessly) pushing pixels around, a paper book still remains something magical for me.

I hope you read the story with a laugh, a tear and perhaps even a smile of recognition. And may the fantasies tease you into even more fantasies.

Spreading the word

The first timid steps are now far behind me. These days I actively work to introduce the (outside) world to the power and splendour of BDSM. Because the unknown is unloved. I do this by, among other things, giving challenging workshops, enlightening lectures, informative websites (Meesteres Moriah.nl and Femdom-Lifestyle.nl), passionate e-learnings, understanding coaching sessions and, of course, by writing inspiring books.
