There are various whips and the flogger is one of them. A flogger is a whip made up of multiple strips. In this case leather strips, but there are also floggers made of suede or rubber. They all work more or less the same, but the feeling on the skin differs. That can vary because of the size, but of course also because of the material. A flogger, like this brown flogger, is good to use as a starter whip to warm up for the heavier (read: more painful) work. A flogger is also perfectly suitable for the novice Dom, because there's actually not a lot that can go wrong when you hit with this whip.
Brown flogger
I was already looking forward to the arrival of this brown flogger, because a new whip is always fun to try out. I have a thing for whips. My sub, a bit less so, but that's of course his problem.
The whip arrived in a neat cardboard box. Even though the packaging isn't the most important thing, I still like it when something is nicely or neatly packed. The photo on the packaging is promising. Unfortunately the whip was a bit of a disappointment when I opened the box. The whip had been folded double in a plastic bag, which visibly did the whip no good.
As a result, there are creases in the whip from the start, so it doesn't strike the way I would like it to. The whip is now hanging among the other whips and I hope the creases will come out, but I can't say that with certainty. It would have been better if they had provided a longer box, in which the whip could have been packed along its entire length. Precisely because this leather is fairly thin (and also a bit stiff), it is prone to creasing. I really see this as a missed opportunity. I can well imagine that this is disappointing for anyone when they look at their purchase.
In practice
As I mentioned earlier, this flogger is perfectly usable for the novice Dom and sub. It doesn't hit hard and it certainly leaves no marks. Even my sub could take this whip just fine, and he is quite a little squeaker (which, by the way, is exactly what makes him so much fun, because as a born sadist I want to hear someone whimper and squeal; for me it shouldn't become a big 'please show'). As a warm-up whip or just to tease your sub a little, it is perfectly suitable.
The price is reasonable, but I still find those creases a shame. I take good care of my whips, and when I see those kinked strands, it doesn't make me happy. I also don't find the whip particularly nicely finished; I have definitely seen better. You're probably talking about a different price segment then.

There's really not much more I can add to this review. Unfortunately I can't make it sound better than it is. The only thing I get enthusiastic about is the brand name. I think Ouch! is a really fun idea. Sadly, that doesn't make the whip any better.
