Some whips make you as happy as a child, and some sadly don't. And I'm afraid this whip with a knot belongs to the latter category. Sometimes something looks more fun, better and more exciting in a picture. But once it's in your hands, you feel straight away: "I can't do anything with this". So I hesitated for a moment about whether I should write a review about it at all. But that's the honest thing to do. I just can't make as enthusiastic a blog out of it. So here's a disclaimer up front. This is not going to be a jolly, cheerful blog. Sorry guys, better again tomorrow.

Whip with knot

It's mainly the knot at the end that makes this whip tricky. And I don't so much mean tricky to hit with (although that's also an issue), but a long whip should give skin pain. It may cut into the skin, feel sharp and leave welts. But because of that knot, this whip doesn't cut but comes down like a kind of punch. And that's not really the intention, because the dull impact of the knot goes deeper under the skin. On top of that, the centre of weight now sits at the knot, which also makes it much harder to aim. So it's anyone's guess where that knot is going to land.

Practice

Is it then a matter of practice? Yes, that would of course help (although it's fairly unreliable because of the weight distribution), but even then you're stuck with the impact of the knot. The PU leather is also rather stiff, which doesn't help the striking either. In short, this whip simply didn't make me very happy. And where the description of this product says: "perfect for beginners...", I say very firmly: "NO". It is definitely not a beginner's whip with its 1.22 centimetres and its uncontrolled impact.

Shame, because I'm quite a fan of the Ouch! brand and I'm enthusiastic about most of its products. But I'm afraid that when this whip was purchased, the buyer still had a hangover from the weekend and is now passing it on to the buyers of this product.

If you're looking for a nice single tail, I recommend looking at this braided whip or this slightly longer leather whip. Both are lovely whips with a vicious impact. So if you're not very experienced yet, practise properly first before you start hitting someone with it.

The price

The positive thing about the whip with knot is the price: it's nice and cheap. The price of this faux leather whip with knot is currently 17,95 euros (reduced from 21,95 euros). In my experience, prices of sex toys can fluctuate quite a bit, so it may well be cheaper or more expensive after a while.
