Being busy - From the diary of Mrs Moriah

Do I really have to say sorry because I haven't let you hear from me here for so long? Or rather, because I haven't written anything for so long? And you really think I'm going to do that? Well, then you have no idea what makes me tick. I've been busy. Far too busy to go scattering pixels around here left, right and centre. So everything here simply ground to a halt. That's just how it goes. Work comes before pleasure. And work sometimes brings a lot of busyness. At least, it does for me. Although I'd much rather let the two go hand in hand... Goodness, that gives me an idea straight away, because that can work perfectly well!

At least three slaves

Because the sun is shining beautifully outside, and I want to enjoy it at length. A few slaves could do my work, so I can enjoy the lovely weather outside. With one extra slave within reach, of course, to massage my feet, serve cool drinks, fan me with a breeze, do the odd bit of gardening and now and then serve as a little side table. Perhaps I'll even invite a nice friend, so that we can be waited on together.

And those work slaves will of course get a shock collar put on, with the remote control within my reach. Dawdling will be punished with the cane or... 'tsssss…zzzzz…aaaaaaaaow!' with electricity. While I take little sips of my refreshing Mojito. Work and pleasure go hand in hand so nicely like this!

Unpaid

And of course you won't be paid, not even a little. That seems logical to me. And I have requirements too. For example, you must be able to write flawless Dutch and be good with WordPress. Be able to think creatively and have a decent IQ. Volunteers? Interested in the job? Feel free to send your applications with CV to me. Who knows, you might even get a reply. Although that's certainly no guarantee. After all, I'm already busy enough.

It seems to me a unique opportunity for a career switch... You think it's unfair? You're shouting something about our colonial past and how it reeks of slavery? Yes, that's right. I'm very good at that. But I don't discriminate, because all colours and sexes are welcome.
