As far as I know, I have never had a product from the 'Fifty Shades Darker' brand in my hands before. This time I'm throwing my opinion of the film overboard and deciding to try something from this brand. I choose a collar with a chain. Handy for fastening my sub, so that he can only follow along on the chain. Very handy for parties and gatherings. Actually, I would prefer to have him walk like that in the street too, but socially speaking that might not be so wise. So I limit myself to putting him on a lead on certain occasions.

When the FSD Collar with Chain arrives and I open the plastic bag, I'm delighted. I see a beautiful velvet storage bag containing the collar and chain. The metal buckles of the collar are individually wrapped in tissue paper so they can't get damaged. Details like that show that attention has been paid to a product. For me, they are proof of love and passion for the product.

Supple and soft

The leather feels very supple and the inside of the band is covered with a kind of soft padding. I can imagine that it must feel pleasant for my sub when he wears this. And when I put the collar on my sub, he confirms it. This collar was probably made more for female subs, because I notice the band could actually have been a little bigger. It does fit, but to look nice it could have been a bit looser, and honestly I also find this combination just a touch too refined for my (male) sub. Perhaps the FSD brand focuses more on the female sub, just like in the film.

At the end of the chain there is a lovely loop with which you can lead your sub anywhere. It is a lovely combination that is perfectly suited to the beginner BDSMer in particular. It is soft and finished with beautiful details.

In practice

The colour of the leather is a combination of blue/grey. The collar is easy to adjust and beautifully finished. You can see that attention has been paid to the details. Lovely soft materials, special fastenings, a gorgeous storage bag, that sort of thing.

That makes this collar/chain combination a lovely product to start with. It's not all so raw or unpleasant. It's actually beautiful and soft! Just as BDSM can be too. Capricious, unpredictable, but also full of connection and security.
The lead is 71.5 cm long, so your sub stays close beside you when walking. Absolutely a lovely product!

A lovely, stylish collar with a chain. Definitely well suited to the beginner BDSMer because it doesn't come across as raw or intimidating, but rather very sweet. You can absolutely make your sub happy with this.
