A few days ago I was approached on Fetlife by Giel from Art of Pictures (known on Fetlife as @Gielfotografie). We had met once before at Party Players (Lelystad), where he was photographing the event "Manita on tour". I was rather busy at the time, though (read: working over a beautiful slave with a cane), so I hadn't really noticed him. He asked me, however, whether I was interested in a photoshoot.
Normally I'm never that keen and my standard answer is "no". Partly because I'm busy with the renovation of our play house and with my work, but I'm also simply not that keen on this kind of invitation. But this time I didn't say "no". I just said "yes", without thinking about it too much. What's more, I asked whether he'd like it if I brought another Mistress friend along and, of course, my sub as a "grateful victim". And that was all perfectly fine!
Relaxed and fun
So I arranged a nice location (SM Club Almere), where I also give my BDSM workshops, and on Tuesday the day had arrived. The shoot was great fun. Giel gave good directions and compliments, which made it very relaxed and enjoyable. For four hours we worked incredibly hard: changing outfits, posing, changing outfits, posing, et cetera. In the end our energy was spent, but some beautiful photos had been taken. And I'd love to share them with you. We're absolutely delighted with the result, and I think there are some real gems among them. So looking back, I'm so glad I simply said "yes" spontaneously this time! We wouldn't have wanted to miss these photos.

And why this blog? Because I'd like to give Giel a shout out. He hasn't been active as a photographer in the kinky and/or BDSM scene for very long, but when I look at his photos, I see that he captures the atmosphere well and has given the photos a nicely raw edge. That's why I want to share this with you, because if you're still looking for a top kinky photographer, think of Giel. And no, I'm not being paid for this. I simply think this man deserves to be put in the spotlight. Feel free to judge for yourself.
