Nails, always close at hand

You don’t always need a whole trunk full of toys for a fun dose of BDSM. Sometimes the torture device is closer than you think. For example, a leather belt, an onion cutter, or a wooden spoon. But what about your nails? You can use them in all sorts of interesting ways. For example, by digging them into the balls, or running them viciously across a back. But of course, you can also use them to caress so gently it almost feels like a tickle. And the best thing about nails is, you always have them close at hand! Torture is, by the way, a good reason to stop biting your nails immediately, because you can’t do those fun things with stubs…
Torture
Nails work well in various types of play. Think of nipple torture (it feels amazing to have those nipples between your nails) or during CBT (those long “knives” can be dug very deep into the skin of the balls). But what about gentle caresses under the feet during bondage… or gentle caresses on the face when someone is unable to scratch? There are so many fun things to imagine, and every bit of skin experiences it differently. Scratching, tickling, caressing, pinching… not to mention the fact that long nails, especially red ones, are truly incredibly sexy!
There are even people who have a nail fetish. Who get aroused at the sight of long nails, or specifically, long red ones…
Safety
You have to be a little careful with long nails – and I don’t mean that they can break, because that’s obvious. What I mean is that you have to be careful during vaginal or anal penetration, for example. You can easily damage the soft tissue with those sharp daggers. Also make sure to keep your nails and cuticles well-groomed so there are no cuts around the nails. This is especially important if you’re inserting your fingers inside someone (spreading bacteria). By regularly moisturizing your cuticles with a good nail oil, you can prevent a lot of trouble. Otherwise, to be on the safe side, use latex gloves during internal penetration. That’s safer anyway, especially during anal penetration.
Nails and Hygiene
But even aside from soft tissue, scratches from our nails on the skin can also cause harm. Because then you think you’re doing the right thing by thoroughly cleaning all your toys every time, but you’re easily running your sharp nails – even to the point of bleeding – across someone’s skin. But did you properly disinfect those nails beforehand? Do you have any idea how many bacteria are under our nails? You’re introducing those bacteria right into the open, scratched skin. If you don’t clean that properly with alcohol afterward, it can get nasty and become infected.
I’ve even heard stories of subs who’ve been scratched by multiple women, or of women scratching multiple subs… without disinfection. And fortunately, most people have a strong immune system that’s always ready for these shenanigans, so things will often turn out fine, but it’s no guarantee. It’s important to disinfect your nails beforehand and the sub’s skin afterward.
