The thinnest sounds may seem like a good place to start, but realise that such a thin sound is sharper than its thicker brothers and sisters. So the risk of damaging the urethra is greater!

It is important that you work hygienically. So sterilise the sounds as thoroughly as possible beforehand. You can do this with alcohol, but make sure the alcohol has fully evaporated before you use the sound.

3)
To let the sounds slide into the urethra as smoothly as possible, you use a good lubricant. Preferably a lubricant that you only use for this kind of activity, so that as few bacteria as possible can get onto the sounds.

Place the clean sounds on a clean tissue or in a clean kidney dish.

Before you start, take a thin sound and put a tiny bit of lubricant on the tip. With one hand you hold the cock (firmly, but without squeezing) and with your other hand you let the sound glide slowly into the urethra. Let gravity do the work and don't force anything! Don't cram, squeeze or push, but let the rod slide in by itself. If it doesn't work, simply try again another time.

Once the rod has slid down, you can move it back and forth very gently a little. A bit up, a bit down. In this way you stretch the urethra slightly and prepare it for a somewhat larger sound. But build it up very slowly and don't force anything!!
