“Report on the 2024 Advent Calendar (part 4)” was written for BDSMforyou.nl by sub o.

This year, the final task of the 2024 advent calendar was to make a silly Christmas video and to write a report on how you experienced the advent calendar. I would like to share a few of these reports with you, because they give a lovely insight into how special, fun, varied and intense these 24 days have been for everyone. I am publishing the reports in separate parts. Today it is sub o's turn to speak. His look back also brings this entire event to a close.

Report on the 2024 Advent Calendar (part 4)

It was an unforgettable journey of 24 (plus a little bit more) days. A journey in which I was challenged, both to push my limits and to bring out the best (most creative) side of myself. Although I do have to say that pushing limits was relative in my case, since I had to reach for the replacement tasks fairly quickly whenever the ground beneath my feet got too hot.

Through the jokers...

Judging by the reports/updates from the other participants, I dare say I was the first to get through my jokers. But even so, there were new experiences, new stimuli and new goals for me too. For example, the Tabasco in the kitchen cupboard will forever have a different meaning for me than just adding a bit more spice to my food...

Besides (or not) crossing limits, the most difficult and/or challenging part for me was above all the planning. How on earth was I going to complete this task today, with the 0 minutes of free time I had? Often diaries had to be turned upside down, working at the office was rebooked at the last minute to working from home, and a quick dash to the supermarket was squeezed in. Successfully completing a task also gave me an adrenaline boost, partly because of this, and I was already looking forward to the next day.

Especially in the first days of the month, time could not pass quickly enough for me to receive a new task in my mailbox again. As the month progressed and the busyness at work on the one hand and the Christmas hassle (among other things) on the other began to increase more and more, it became increasingly intense to take on the tasks.

Greatest success

In hindsight, the conclusion is that the greatest success was in the first half; the failure (fail-bunny) factor went up a little more and more in the second part. Perhaps it is also exemplary that this report was submitted late - even though it was due to external circumstances - perhaps it was meant to be. Another fun element besides the tension and the challenge was creativity. Of course entirely guided by you, first by coming up with a creative task and then by pushing me to bring out the most creative side of myself. And as a not-so-creative person, that is not always easy for me...

The photos at the beginning did meet the requirements of the task, but creativity certainly did not leap off them. Fortunately, that got a little better and better, and I got a taste for it in that respect too. And besides that there were also tasks where we could get creative with text, a Sinterklaas poem, a Christmas wish, a fantasy, devising tasks - those were clearly tasks that suited me down to the ground. There it was just a bit easier to tap into creativity and get to work with it.

Effort and energy

All that remains is for me to thank you enormously for the time, effort and energy you have put into this, both beforehand in devising it and during the advent period. You were always there to briefly discuss the task, to think along about (im)possibilities, as I have said more often: hard with a heart!

And via this route I would also like to sign up straight away for the Femdom Fantasy Contest, the show must go on!
