Wheel of pain, pinwheel, or just a small eraser wheel

“Wheel of Pain, Pinwheel, or Simply a Rubbing Wheel” was written for BDSMforyou.nl by Mistress Moriah.

Maybe you remember the eraser wheel in your mother’s or grandmother’s sewing box? She used it to erase patterns? I have no idea if people still do that; there are probably newer techniques now. But an eraser wheel like that bears a striking resemblance to a “wheel of pain.” You could even use it for that purpose.

Wheel of Pain

“Wheel of Pain” is another term for a pinwheel. It is a small wheel with long prongs that you can roll over the skin. It can be used all over the body, allowing you to control the intensity yourself. Apply slightly firmer pressure to body parts where this is appropriate, and slightly lighter pressure over the nipples or erogenous zones.

The wheel of pain can easily be incorporated into nipple torture, CBT, or nursing. Gently roll it over the legs, arms, stomach, back, balls, cock, and even the glans. Of course, use caution because the spikes are sharp.

Other names for this fun toy are: Wheel of Pleasure, Wheel of Pain, Wheel of Tease, or Spiked Pinwheel.

Usage

Gently roll the wheels over the skin, controlling the pressure yourself. The harder you roll, the more pain and the deeper the marks you leave behind. Vary the intensity and alternate pressure, but keep a close eye on the sub to see how they react to this sensation of pain. Also be mindful of “marks.” If a sub has indicated they do not want marks, then it is better not to use the wheel of pain. This little wheel can definitely leave visible marks that will not disappear very quickly.

Different Types

There are various types of pinwheels available for purchase, made from different materials and in various shapes. For example, there are pinwheels with just one wheel, but also with two, three, or even five. They come with long spikes, short spikes, close together or spaced further apart, and there are even pinwheels combined with electroplay. It’s best to use one made of stainless steel because this is the safest option.

In combination

The Wheel of Pain works well in combination with (for example) a foil bondage. The skin, tightly wrapped in the foil, will experience the sensation of the vicious wheel even more intensely. It can also be a great addition to nipple torture or CBT.

Cleaning

After the play session, clean the pinwheel with a good toy cleaner or disinfectant spray. The wheel may have broken the skin in places, causing small spots of blood. It is therefore important to maintain good hygiene. After all, you don’t want your sub to contract an infection (or worse) during this play.
