What is a sling?

The word “sling” has several meanings. It can refer to an ancient weapon used to hurl projectiles, such as stones. Or it can refer to a sling used to support an injured arm or shoulder. A baby sling is also sometimes called a sling, and the term can also refer to a type of cocktail, such as the famous Singapore Sling, consisting of a mix of gin, cherry liqueur, lemon juice, and other ingredients. But when we talk about a sling on this site, we naturally mean a type of (often leather) hammock or hanging chair, specially designed as an aid for sexual activities.
What is the sling used for?
Most slings provide back support and feature special straps to keep the legs elevated. In this position, the sub or slave is perfectly positioned for challenging positions, all while floating comfortably above the ground. It offers opportunities for vaginal pleasure, but of course also for anal fun.
Different Types
There are various types of slings available. Most models must be secured to the ceiling or walls with sturdy chains. Special frames are also available to mount the sling in. These do require sufficient space.

How do you attach the sling?
- Choose a sling that suits you. Pay attention to the weight capacity.

- Make sure you have sturdy (swing) hooks on the ceiling (or wall) that can support the weight.
- Attach the chains to the hooks and to the sling, and adjust them to the right length. (You don’t want to be hanging crooked.)
- Make sure the sub’s head is always slightly higher than the rest of their body to prevent dizziness.
