BDSMforyou is BDSM for YOU
The BDSMforyou website has been around for quite a few years now. About twelve years at the time of writing this blog. This site was originally started to give more explanation about the different aspects of play and how various BDSM toys work, so that beginners could also take (and dare to take) their first steps. By now BDSMforyou is long past being just a site and has grown into a community with the aim of presenting BDSM in a positive and honest way.

BDSMforyou
At first there was only a site, with a bit of standard information and lots of product reviews, so that you know what you're buying. I am the founder of the website, Mistress Moriah. In my early years I myself ran into the lack of good information. Every BDSM shop was like a sweet shop to me, but then, what do you buy? How does it all work? And how do you keep it safe? As I gained more and more experience myself, by throwing myself in at the deep end and starting work as a Pro Domme, among other things, I felt an ever greater need to share my knowledge as I came to understand everything better. That is how the idea of BDSMforyou came about.
A beautiful lifestyle
BDSMforyou is by now much more than a platform full of practical information. Reviews are still posted (once a week) and every day the site is supplied with practical information about playing safely, explanations of play, building up a BDSM experience and/or the intensity of the deeper layers of BDSM. But over the years more room has been made for discussion pieces and BDSM-focused promotional activities. The emphasis has shifted a little from "practical information for the (beginner) BDSM practitioner" to "putting BDSM in a positive light because it can be a beautiful lifestyle, and offering support and information for everyone who wants to know more about BDSM (and/or themselves)". Quite a mouthful.
Innate
The preference for dominant or submissive is often innate. That means it is inseparably tied to who you are, just like, for example, homosexuality. Unfortunately there is still no room for BDSM within the LGBTQ movement, where the B stands for bisexuality and not for BDSM. Of course we don't necessarily need a place within this movement, but BDSM is still completely unjustly stuck in a dark corner, and that isn't right either! Unfortunately the media also play a dubious role in this by mainly showing the excesses and not a realistic picture of reality.
We're not mad! Yet many of us cannot or dare not come out about it, because there is a big chance that it will have a negative effect on their careers. Sometimes even resulting in dismissal. As a result, many people don't dare to be open about their orientation. How sad is that. While BDSM has been around for centuries.
A fully fledged community
Over the past twelve years, through hard work, BDSMforyou has grown into a community that promotes BDSM in a positive, but also honest and realistic way. To introduce the world to the deeper layers and to show that nothing is what it seems and that people who are involved in this are not mad. BDSMforyou has by now become a complete concept in which various disciplines come together, such as:
Tailor-made BDSM workshops for the beginning Dominant and/or sub
BDSM books (How do I become a Mistress, BDSMforyou Webshop, The ultimate form of BDSM is love, What is BDSM, Sissy training and How do I become a good Femdom sub)
Live dates with Mistress Moriah (to talk and/or ask questions of an experienced like-minded person)
Your support is so welcome
Over the past years I have done everything with enormous pleasure and enthusiasm. You can imagine that an enormous amount of time (and money) has gone into this every day. And still does. Of course I do it with a great deal of passion and love. However, I would like to do much more for this unique lifestyle. I still have plenty of ideas to bring BDSM to people's attention in a positive way and to show how beautiful and special this way of life can be, and anything but mad. But I could really use your support for that, because at the moment I do this almost entirely on my own. With your help I could do so much more. If you appreciate what I do and would like to do your bit, there are several ways to do so:
Writing editorial articles
Promotional activities (making sure BDSMforyou is found by many more people)
Practical support with larger activities
Creative input (what else can we do?)
