How to Keep Latex Looking Its Best

Latex is a natural rubber derived from the rubber tree Hevea brasiliensis. Some people have developed a fetish for this material. A latex fetish is a sexual preference involving a desire for latex items. These can be accessories, but of course also include clothing or kinky toys. If you’re drawn to latex, you probably want to wear it yourself, but you likely also find it exciting to look at. Besides, it’s often not just about the appearance but also the scent. Plus, it’s super sexy, seductive, and a real eye-catcher.

Options

In addition to latex clothing, there are other ways to enjoy rubber. For example, there are latex body bags of latex beds that cover the entire body, or full-face masks (which may or may not be combined with breath play).

The latex fetish is somewhat related to the PVC fetish because both involve shiny, tight-fitting materials. The material is worn close to the skin, like a second skin. It can then be experienced as a kind of bondage that envelops your entire body. Incidentally, not all clothing needs to be tight-fitting; sometimes it’s actually very pleasant to wear a loose-fitting rubber outfit.

Some rubberists (as latex fetishists are also called) sometimes wear their tight latex under their regular outfit. Just under a smart suit, and only you know you’re wearing it!

How do you wear it?

The rubber isn’t that easy to put on, especially if it’s a tight outfit. You can make it a bit easier by first applying lubricant to your body. This ensures that the latex glides more easily over your skin.

How do you care for it?

Latex is best stored in a low-light, low-air environment. This means you should first wrap the latex in chlorine-free paper and then store it in an airtight, black plastic bag. Pack it as light- and airtight as possible.

Cleaning

After wearing it, degrease the outfit with a mild dish soap and then store it in talcum powder or Vivishine (or a similar product).

You can wash the clothing in hot water (not boiling water, of course, but hot enough to degrease it) and dish soap. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water to which you’ve added a splash of Vivishine.

Pat the clothing dry thoroughly and then let it hang overnight on a wooden hanger (in the dark). Then store the clothing properly according to the instructions above.

Be careful with

Latex and oil don’t mix well, so it’s best not to use body lotion or massage oil if you’re wearing (or plan to wear) latex. Also avoid products like baby shampoo, baby powder, plastic storage bags, and duct tape.

Also be careful with long nails, jewelry, cigarettes, buckles, or sharp objects you might come into contact with.

Why is it so expensive?

If you already have some latex clothing in your closet, you’ve undoubtedly discovered that it isn’t cheap. While there are definitely price differences, the cheaper products definitely sacrifice quality. Good latex clothing is generally more expensive due to the production process and the materials used. It is a labor-intensive process and also requires special skills. On top of that, the natural raw material isn’t cheap.
