The intense sensation of plastic wrap bondage

When you think of bondage, you might immediately think of rope or, perhaps secondarily, leather restraints, but what about plastic wrap?! You can use it to create simple or even complex (just kidding) bondage setups. Foil bondage is perfect for wrapping up an intense BDSM session. On the one hand, it can be very soothing, but it also lends itself to adding some extra stimulation or ending things on a very exciting note. The foil is also perfect for mummification!

The Benefits of Plastic Wrap for Bondage
Bondage using plastic wrap has several advantages. It’s a (relatively) inexpensive material that requires no maintenance (unlike rope). You simply throw it away afterward (which is, of course, a bit of a downside, since it’s plastic – so not very sustainable or eco-friendly). It’s easy to use – you simply wrap it around someone. It’s a piece of cake. So you don’t need a special bondage workshop before you can get started. The sub is wrapped up in no time, so it’s not as time-consuming as rope bondage.
Because the wrap is distributed very evenly over the body, you have much less to worry about pressure points and/or pinching nerves. So it’s perfect for the beginner in BDSM. It’s hard to go wrong (as long as you don’t restrict breathing).
You can choose to wrap someone completely in the foil, but the smaller rolls of foil are also perfect for securing just the arms – either to each other or to something else. Or securing the legs to the chair legs. Or, well, let your creativity run wild, because the possibilities are endless!
The downsides of foil bondage
“Every advantage has its disadvantage,” as Cruijf would say, and that’s certainly true of foil bondage. Foil is relatively cheap, but since you can only use it once, it gets pricey if you use it often. Foil is plastic, so it’s definitely harmful to the environment.
Plastic Wrap Bondage
With plastic wrap, you can create beautiful bondage setups – whether intricate or simple. The material is so sturdy that if you use several layers on top of each other, you could even hang the sub from a suspension hook. Of course, be careful with this, and it’s not suitable for a first-time plastic wrap bondage session. You can start simply, for example by securing the sub’s arms or legs to something, or perhaps even wrapping their entire body (up to the neckline). Make it nice and tight (but not too tight), so the plastic wrap feels like a second skin. Every touch will feel more intense.
You can make it extra exciting by cutting the foil open in some places. This is easy to do with bandage scissors. For example, around the nipples to attach nipple clamps, or around the penis/balls/vagina to do exciting things with them. But of course, you can also choose to make an opening here and there to insert something. This could be an ice cube, stinging nettles, or a vibrator – whatever you’re in the mood for. And that’s what makes plastic wrap bondage extra fun, exciting, and versatile. There are so many fun things you can do with it!

Clearing Your Mind
And if your sub just needs a moment to clear their head, let go, and fly away for a bit, this bondage setup is perfect for that, too. Wrapping them up is quick and easy, and then the big flight can begin. Isn’t that wonderful?!
The final sensation of the plastic wrap comes at the end, once you’ve removed it. The wrap makes you sweat quite a bit, so your skin is damp. As soon as the wrap comes off, it feels a bit cold. Keep that in mind as the Dominant. Maybe have a blanket and a bottle of water ready?
Which plastic wrap is suitable?
Most BDSM shops sell bondage wrap, but… you’ll pay top dollar for it. The plastic wrap from the supermarket can be a cheaper alternative, but the downside is that it comes in small rolls and is also quite sticky, so it quickly gets tangled up and becomes unusable (in my experience). It’s best to look for packaging film or wrapping film; that way, you’ll get good-quality film at a good price.
Safety & other tips
Just like with rope bondage, it’s handy to have a pair of (first-aid) scissors on hand. If something happens (and it always can), you can quickly free the sub from the film. Remove the wrap immediately if the sub’s lips, toes, or fingertips turn blue, if they become dizzy, pale, or red, start sweating, breathe faster, and/or can no longer speak.
Never leave anyone (and this applies to any form of bondage) alone in plastic wrap bondage. Always stay in contact with the sub.
It goes without saying that during bondage, you must ensure that breathing is not restricted by the plastic wrap. It’s also best to leave the vulnerable neck area free.
Let the sub use the restroom before you wrap them up.
Placing a small cushion between the knees and ankles before tying them prevents joint pain.
Apply the plastic wrap to the arms first and then around the torso to avoid skin-to-skin contact, which can cause irritation.
Never pull the plastic wrap too tightly while tying to prevent it from becoming too tight.
